Wilma B. Dennison

Funeral services for Wilma B. Dennison, 91, of Parkview, IA, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Park View Lutheran Church. The family will greet friends on Tuesday evening from 5:00-7:30 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Dennison passed away on Friday, April 6, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family and pastor. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.

Wilma Bernadine Kasten was born in Caledonia, MN on October 18, 1920, the daughter of John and Erma (Paus) Kasten. In 1943, she married Talmage Dennison Jr. in LaCrosse, WI. Wilma worked as a secretary and buyer for American Air Filter in Moline for 23 years. She retired in 1984. Sewing, crocheting, card playing, crossword puzzles, and playing Wii bowling were among her favorite hobbies. Wilma was a member of Park View Lutheran Church and also active in various volunteer positions, including CASI and the American Air Filter Retirement Group. She was also past director of the Manor Drive Condominium Association. She is survived by two Daughters: Arlene (Rick) Tucker of Parkview, Mary (Gene) Reisner of DeWitt, IA; a Son: Scott (Peggy) Dennison of Mauston, WI; two Brothers: Lloyd Kasten of MN, Douglas (Lilli) Kasten of CO; two Sisters: Joyce Lilla of MN, Bonnie Kasten of WI; 5 Grandchildren: Tracy Tucker of Eldridge, IA, Matthew (Amanda) Tucker of CO, David (Kimberly) Reisner of IA, Daniel (Jessi) Reisner of TX, Amy (Sean) O’Brien of CA; and 5 Great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Nelson.

Memorials may be directed to Park View Lutheran Church.
